Biodiversity Week at Offaly Libraries

Offaly Libraries are delighted to present a vibrant programme of events for National Biodiversity Week (15–23 May), celebrating the natural world with a range of creative, educational and family-friendly activities across all branches.
Throughout the week, visitors can enjoy a Biodiversity Scavenger Hunt, themed worksheets and colouring, Puffin Rock workbooks, as well as storytime, arts and crafts, LEGO habitat challenges and film screenings.
In Tullamore Library, highlights include “Books, Birdsong & a Brew” in the outdoor space and a nature photography exhibition by Kieran McEvoy throughout May.
A special family tree event will take place on Saturday 16 May in Tullamore, hosted with Offaly Climate and Biodiversity Action Group and Crann. Events are supported by Offaly County Council’s Biodiversity Officer and include both drop-in and bookable sessions.
