Crann – Trees for Ireland will be celebrating Books and Trees in Roscrea, Tipperary

Crann – Trees for Ireland will be celebrating Books and Trees throughout National Biodiversity Week 15th to 24th May 2026, with the help of George Cunningham in Roscrea, Co. Tipperary.

There will be various biodiversity talks, workshops and planting potted trees with schools and the local Roscrea community throughout the week.  Come and join us or check out events in your own local area.

The Whole Week: Dimmas Books at SVP Roscrea: Display of biodiversity publications; special offers on these books during the week.

3 School Talks to Senior Pupils on Biodiversity.  Trees acquired from Trees on the Land potted up and presented to senior pupils. Also plant a memorial tree in honour of 6th class. Coolderry Central School, Brosna Birr – Sacred Heart Primary School Roscrea – Cloughjordan No 1 NS.

Public participation with trees will take place through Tidy Towns.

National Biodiversity Week 15th – 24th May 2026 is all about connecting people with nature. It’s about communicating the importance of biodiversity and motivating people to play their part in protecting it. It’s also about entertaining them, showing the fun and wonder that can be found in nature, and inspiring people to learn more, see more, do more.

National Biodiversity Week is organised by the Irish Environmental Network (IEN), with thanks to funding from the National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS).
