Water Safari – Ballymote

Ballymote Tidy Towns invite you to dive into the world of water bugs with scientists from the Local Authority Waters Programme (LAWPRO). Beginning in Margaret Gormley Memorial Park, a sample of water bugs and insects from the stream will be used to determine the health of the water. We will then take a walk through the park to the castle to look at other wild and wet areas, the biodiverse hotspots of our urban environment.
This is a family friendly event but all children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Please dress appropriately for the weather. Walking will be on the park pathways and adjacent grass areas.
Parking available at the railway station and Catholic Church. Please take care crossing public roads between sections of the park.
