Moving Nature

May 20 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

An immersion in free-form, meditative outdoor movement practice within the 28 acre nature reserve at An Sanctoir;

a peaceful haven of meadow, rock, woodland, bog and rivers.

The intention of this event is to offer you an embodied experience of connection with the natural world. To “listen to the land speak” (Machan Magan)and notice the life that surrounds us, so that we can forge a heartfelt and bodily connection with the natural world, and experience with fresh eyes the life that surrounds us every day.

Connect intimately with the natural world through your moving body, senses and awareness of the present moment: Walk barefoot or sit on the grass, rest on a rock, stretch, roll, move however you want to move.

Re-member your belonging within the biosphere, and with the other-than-human beings with whom we share this miraculous world

Please wear warm outdoor clothing that you can move easily in, and sturdy footwear. We will be walking and moving on different types of ground and you will need to be mobile enough to walk to different parts of the site.

Facilitated by Claire Osborne: eco-activist, Amerta movement guide, art therapist and yoga therapist. www.yogaandmovement.com
