Join Kate Moore (National Biodiversity Data Centre) and Dr J-R. Baars (UCD) for an interactive workshop exploring invasive species and the issues facing Westmeath and the wider environment.

The session will include:

  • A presentation on key invasive species of concern
  • Their impacts on biodiversity and waterways
  • An opportunity to view specimen samples
  • Guidance on how members of the public and stakeholders can contribute through recording sightings, supporting monitoring efforts, and taking practical actions to help prevent the spread of invasive species
