Harper’s Island Wetlands Bioblitz

If you are an ecologist, wildlife specialist, recorder or an interested member of public, join us for a 24* hour Bioblitz event at Harper’s Island Wetlands, Glounthane, Co.Cork. We are looking for volunteers to join forces to identify and record as many species as possible!
Please express your interest to biodiversity@corkcoco.ie with a mention of your expertise and when you anticipate you will be available.
Additional specific events taking place during the 24 hours:
Bat walk- Thursday 21st May 9pm to 10:45pm (registration required, email biodiversity@corkcoco.ie)
Guide in the Hide- Friday 22nd May 10am to 11:30am (no registration required)
Please wear clothing suitable for outdoors and for the weather conditions.
Children must be accompanied at all times by an adult.
There are no bathroom facilities on the reserve.
*Please note the reserve will be open until 11pm Thursday 21st May to accommodate the bat walk and will reopen from 7am Friday 22nd May.
