A Journey along the Nature Trails and Boreens of Galway city

A guided cycle and walk along a network of nature heritage trails of Terryland Forest Park as well as
the traditional boreens (country lanes) that still exist in its surrounding environs which were until a
few decades ago a rural area of small farms and pasture lands but are now part of the urban
landscape of Galway city.
Those that take part in this event will by their participation become aware of how these trails and
boreens can take become a rich mosaic of ecological corridors, greenways and travel routes that will
help transform Galway into a city defined by its green, blue and active travel infrastructure.
