Celebrating the Hawthorn Blossom in Quin

🌿 As part of National Biodiversity Week, Quin Village Tidy Towns are delighted to host this special nature and folklore event at The Monks Well.
Join Lena & Tom from the QVTT Foraging Team for Hawthorn tea, storytelling and a gentle celebration of the Hawthorn blossom — a tree deeply rooted in Irish folklore, mythology and biodiversity.
Known as the “fairy tree”, the Hawthorn has long been associated with protection, wisdom and the arrival of summer in Ireland. Its blossoms also provide an important food source for pollinators and wildlife.
