Solitary bee identification workshop

Join us in UCD this Biodiversity Week for a series of beginner-level species identification workshops with UCD biodiversity experts.
These hands-on sessions will teach you how to spot and identify plants, freshwater invertebrates, solitary bees, birds, mammals and earthworms.
In the solitary bees workshop, participants will be introduced to Irish bee species, with a particular focus on the much neglected solitary bees. Participants will learn basics of identifying these species, first under the microscope in the lab then in the field. With Dr Julia Jones and Dr Darren O’Connell.
