SUMMARY:Remembering Through the Landscape: Dance Performance
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a unique performance that connects memories with the beauty of nature in a whole new way. \n\n\n\n\nRemembering Through The Landscape is a new site-specific art movement choreography by Inma Pavon Dance Company for the Kinship Project. \nThis new piece\, based in a combination of short choreographed improvisation pieces\, will be performed on 24th May in different locations throughout the park. Accompanied by the natural sounds of the park\, the audience are invited to feel fully immersed in the landscape and move with the piece as it progresses through the environment. For starting point\, meet at the EcoLab. \nIPDC is directed by Choreographer/Director Inma Pavon in collaboration with Dance Artists Maria Joyce\, Connie-Jane Lovell and Marleen Elisabeth Hein. \nAbout KinShip EcoLab\nKinShip is an ambitious public art project located in Cork’s Tramore Valley Park\, designed to explore our interconnectedness with the environment through artistic practice\, community engagement\, and ecological reflection. The EcoLab provides a space for dialogue and co-creation in service of a more sustainable and caring future.

SUMMARY:Birds of Tramore Valley Park
DESCRIPTION:Join us for guided birdwatching at Tramore Valley Park on Saturday the 23rd of May at 11 am. The walk will be led by ornithologist Sarah Barry as she guides you through the changing habitats of Tramore Valley Park identifying various species of birds found within the park. \nWe will also be launching our online publication on urban Irish birds created by artist Ann Lambe. \nHere’s what you need to know: \nWhat: A guided birdwatching walk at Tramore Valley Park\nWhen: Saturday\, 23rd May at 11:00 am.\nWhere: Tramore Valley Park\nWhat to Bring: Binoculars if you have them\, weather-appropriate outerwear and sturdy footwear\nAbout our speakers:\nSarah Barry is a a community-focused ecologist\, ornithologist\, and former veterinary surgeon with a strong foundation in Irish agricultural systems and landscape ecology. And is experienced in bird monitoring\, habitat restoration\, and science communication. \nAnn Lambe is a visual artist whose work is rooted in depicting nature and wildlife to inspire an appreciation of the natural world and the conservation of our species\, habitats and biodiversity. \nKinship and Community Foundation Ireland are pleased to support Nature Network Ireland’s vision in community engagement through nature and art. \nPlease be advised that a member of Nature Network Ireland may take photographs during this event. Accompanied by the natural sounds of the park\, participants are invited to feel fully immersed in the landscape. \nAs part of this event\, Choreographer/Director Inma Pavon is inviting people to attend a free workshop on Saturday the 16th of May 11am-12:30pm at Tramore Valley Park. Meeting at the EcoLab. \nThe workshop will be leading the participants through a series of creative movement patterns which will be part of the Remembering Through The Landscape performance.
