SUMMARY:Water Safari - Ballymote
DESCRIPTION:Ballymote Tidy Towns invite you to dive into the world of water bugs with scientists from the Local Authority Waters Programme (LAWPRO). Beginning in Margaret Gormley Memorial Park\, a sample of water bugs and insects from the stream will be used to determine the health of the water. We will then take a walk through the park to the castle to look at other wild and wet areas\, the biodiverse hotspots of our urban environment. \nThis is a family friendly event but all children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.\nPlease dress appropriately for the weather. Walking will be on the park pathways and adjacent grass areas.\nParking available at the railway station and Catholic Church.
