SUMMARY:Screening of “Catchment” Short Film Series at Knocksink Wood
DESCRIPTION:On International Day of Biodiversity\, explore the lives of rivers and meet the people who protect them through these beautiful short films. \n\n\n\n\n\nKnocksink Wood Education Centre*\, 7.30pm \nFrom mountains to sea\, from headwaters to estuary\, the catchment of a river connects and encompasses entire ecosystems\, carrying animals and plants\, people and pollutants alike. This beautiful series of short films explores river catchments across Wicklow and beyond\, introducing the lives of river creatures and the people who protect them. \nFriday 22nd May. Refreshments at 7pm\, screening at 7.30. \n*Please note that the carpark at Knocksink Wood Education Centre is currently closed; the Education Centre is a pleasant 15-20 minutes stroll from the Bog Meadow Car Park in Enniskerry village. \nCATCHMENTS 2025 is supported by Taighde Éireann – Research Ireland* Discover Award\, Creative Ireland\, The Department of Education\, the UCD Earth Institute\, Wicklow County Council\, Meath County Council\, Monaghan County Council\, South Dublin County Council\, Limerick City & County Council\, Cork County Council\, Clare County Council\, Solstice Arts Centre.\nCATCHMENTS 2025 is also supported  by the Creative Ireland Programme\, an all-of-government five-year initiative\, from 2023 to 2027\, which places creativity at the centre of public policy.
