Killarney National Park Natura 2000 Day Bioblitz 2024

A Bioblitz is an activity to identify as many different species on a site within a given time frame. It can be a fun day out with family and friends while you discover the diversity of nature in Killarney National Park. This is a friendly competition between Natura 2000 sites all over Europe.

Take part in our main Bioblitz event on Saturday 25th May 10.00am – 3.00pm, at the Muckross School House (where a number of different Identification guided walks will take place throughout the day). This event is free and there is no need to book in advance.

Enter the National Park through the main entrance which is 5.5km south of Killarney on the N71. Park in the main Muckross House car park and follow signs to Muckross School House.
