Ballyvolane is home to glorious bluebell woods\, four lakes\, abundant birdlife\, pollinators\, amphibians and a thriving population of much-loved red squirrels. During the walk\, Justin will share stories about the estate’s wildlife and habitats\, as well as the ongoing work to protect and improve biodiversity across the estate. \nVisitors will hear about waterfowl nesting tubes\, bird boxes\, bat boxes\, native tree planting and winter bird food crops\, all part of Ballyvolane’s efforts to create safe\, rich habitats for wildlife. May is one of the most beautiful times of year to visit\, and the gardens should be looking spectacular. \nDate: Friday\, 22nd May 2026 \nTime: 11am to 1pm \nLocation: Ballyvolane House\, Castlelyons\, Co.
