SUMMARY:Bóthar Na Naomh Biodiversity Cycle - Leitrim Cycling Festival
DESCRIPTION:Leitrim Cycling Festival\, as part of its 10th year celebrations is organising a Biodiversity Cycle around the looped trail of Bothar na Naomh in Cloone on Saturday 23rd May. The trail was developed by the community to allow locals and visitors to enjoy the limestone area of riverbanks\, woodlands\, bog and lakeshore. Yosef Dvores\, ecologist and co-founder of Our Native Glens environmental group will lead the cycle. Refreshments will be served in Cloone for all involved.

This annual event\, now in its 24th year\, comprises free and guided watches at local headlands and vantage points\, as part of All-Ireland whale watch day. \nThis year’s event is once again being held to coincide with National Biodiversity Week Ireland which runs between May 15th-24th.  It is also hoped that moving it from late summer\, will improve our odds of hosting this outdoor event in better weather conditions\, as in recent years late August has simply become too unreliable with strong winds and rain.
