Peatlands, people and biodiversity are strongly connected on the Island of Ireland.  The Irish Peatland Conservation Council have designed a fun peatland themed crossword to challenge your peatland knowledge and to celebrate Biodiversity Week 2021. The  crossword is aimed at adults with an interest in learning about peatlands. You will  explore the different values, habitats and biodiversity of peatlands by completing this crossword and you will gain a greater understanding of these wet and wild  places in Ireland. You can find support for answering the questions at www.ipcc.ie.

The  event is free and in conjunction with IPCC’s Peatland Passport, an online resource  on http://www.ipcc.ie/visitor-attraction/peatland-passport-ireland/ where individuals and families can find a peatland local to them so they can explore for themselves the  wonder of peatlands. Two  winners will be selected and given a 1 year  free Friend of the Bog membership.  To win this prize, send your completed crossword to us by email at www.bogs@ipcc.ie or by post to the Bogs of Allen nature Centre, Lullymore, Rathangan, Co. Kildare, R51 V293.

No registration needed, simply download the crossword and get stuck in! Registration button will bring you to the Facebook page where the crossword will be officially launched on may 17th, or follow this link: https://www.facebook.com/IPCC.ie
