New Film Launch; The Tree Council of Ireland and Easy Treesie – Crann is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting to launch the film, “Champion School Community Plants 3,505 Trees on Its Limerick Campus”. We will tell the story of how the Coláiste Chiaráin Community, Croom has created a Biodiversity haven on its span-new school campus. Hear how every member of the school community as well as many of its visiting teachers and exchange students have planted a tree to put down roots on their new greenfield site. This project is a collaboration with a very great number of national and local supporters including of course the Tree Council of Ireland, whose administrator Siobhan Quinn and CEO, Brendan Fitzsimons will host this webinar. Charity Crann – Trees for Ireland, Rethink Ireland, the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Coillte and a myriad of contributors young and old have come together to make space for nature a priority at this flagship facility of Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board. We are grateful to the IEN for their support for this and our other Easy Treesie – Crann – Tree Council of Ireland webinars and events being held as part of National Biodiversity Week.

Why did they go for such a diversity of species and what has this to do with changing climate? When is a tree planting project a health project – mental and physical? What does the symbolic and practical action of planting a tree do for the sense of stewardship of our surroundings for a school community?
