Bumblebees are one of the quintessential sights and sounds of summer. Join a National Parks & Wildlife Service guide and learn how to identify some of these furry insects in beautiful Glendalough, Wicklow Mountains National Park.

When: World Bee Day, Saturday 20th May 2023 at 11am.

Duration: Allow between 45 minutes and 1 hour.

Where: Starting and finishing at the Information Office, Upper Lake, Glendalough, A98R221.

Booking: Booking is essential. To book please email wickloweducationcentre@housing.gov.ie

Practicalities: Walking an easy flat 1 kilometre loop around the Upper Lake area. Dress for the outdoors and bring waterproofs just in case. This is a free event. Except for guide or assistance dogs, dogs are not permitted on National Park events.

Parking: Parking is available at the County Council Upper Lake Car Park (charges apply), A98W778.

This event is organised by education staff based at Wicklow Mountains National Park who are employed by the National Parks & Wildlife Service under the aegis of the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage.
