Get crafty and join the Rediscovery Centre for a FREE fun hands on workshop where you will learn how to make a bird feeder and some cardboard animals to celebrate biodiversity week. This event is kindly supported by the IEN.
Bird feeders are an incredible way to get a close look at birds and you can learn to make one from materials lying around your house and garden. Garden animals and insects are essential to biodiversity from pollinating to food supplies for carnivores. Let’s get up close and personal with some of our favourite insects and craft them from materials found around the house.
If you would like to make the crafts with Audrey, children will need help from their parent or guardian. The materials needed are:
– Cleaned out Tetra Box/pack 1L size
– Paper Cutting Knife
– Paint and Paint brush
– Jar for water
– Newspaper to cover table/surface
– Bird Seed
– 3-4 Toilet roll tubes or bendable cardboard
– Eco Glue or Stapler and Staples
