An introduction to exploring ecology and biodiversity:

With Eco-Unesco

With over 1 million species currently at risk of extinction worldwide, and 1 in 5 species in Ireland threatened with extinction, there has never been a better time to learn how to protect our biodiversity and native species. This workshop helps to provide participants with a deeper understanding of the different ecosystems which can be found in Ireland and around the world, as well as creating awareness of the ways which every living thing is interconnected and linked. We will also explore ways in which biodiversity plays a key role in our lives; from helping us to tackle climate change to supporting human health and wellbeing. Finally, we will explore the various threats and negative impacts which biodiversity is currently facing and the actions we can take to help protect biodiversity both as individuals and in our communities.
