The group will meet at Causey Farm for a guided walk onto Girley Bog NHA.
IPCC staff will lead the walk and will discuss the importance of designated sites like Girley Bog as habitats for biodiversity.
IPCC staff will showcase some of the restoration works that have been completed on the bog and the wildlife monitoring work that is taking place.
Participants will have the opportunity to observe and identify some of the wonderful biodiversity on the bog including birds, butterflies, insect eating plants and other bogland specialists.
The walk will finish with a cup of tea or coffee and biscuits on the bog.
The event is family friendly and there will be fun activities for children along the way including some pond dipping for mini-beasts and a bird treasure hunt.
The walk will include rough, boggy terrain so strong waterproof footwear is recommended
