Indoor and outdoor events across the city will feature a wide range of biodiversity including: cetaceans, terrestrial mammals, birds, bats, invertebrates, fish, pollinators, plants, native raptors and nature for health & wellbeing.
People can drop into the central HQ to meet the experts, join workshops, learn about Galway’s wildlife and ongoing conservation work, see wildlife specimens and take information away.
We will host a series of short films and talks with people across Galway sharing and celebrating their experiences and encounters with nature over the past 25 years in An Taibhdheac Theatre.
Participants will need comfortable footwear and decent fitness levels for outdoor activities.
Go Wild builds on a legacy of strong environmental partnerships including the Vincent Wildlife Trust, BirdWatch Ireland, NEAR Health (NUIG), GMIT, Irish Wildlife Trust, Galway Bat Group & Irish Whale & Dolphin Group working together to bring nature to people of all ages and interest levels.
